Fact: Composts cannot be stored for a long time due to the deterioration of its fertilizers

All our composts can be used for a wide range of uses in the garden, but it is best to use one of the specialist composts for its own uses.





John Innes
A Steam sterilised loam based compost, made using the John Innes formula. This can be used for gardening all year round and is best for long term planting, also as it is soil based John Innes retains more water in dry spells.l

Multipurpose
A peat based compost which can be used for a variety of uses, from seed sowing and pricking out to the potting of mature plants.

Basket & Patio Compost
A mixture of John Innes and Multipurpose,
Ideal for summer planting of hanging baskets and patio containers, using basket and trailing plants for both spring and autumn planting in the garden.
this compost also contains a wetting agent and a slow release fertilizer

Ericaceous
A compost that has a zero lime content.
This must be used when potting a wide variety of "lime hating" plants,
such as Azaleas, Rhododendrons, Pieris and many more.
We also recommend Ericaceous compost for delicate ornamental shrubs such as Acers and Magnolias

Grow bags ........(Large 4 Plant)
Ideal for growing a variety of plants especially Tomatoes.
Grow bags can also be used for growing a variety of other plants in the greenhouse including cucumbers, peppers, aubergines, and lettuce as well as being used as a base for container grown plants

Peat must be added to a soil if the plant requires an acid soil to thrive,
it can also be used to give"body" to a light soil and also to help drainage in a heavy or clay soil.

Ornamental bark is generally used as a weed suppressant or a mulch
whereas composted bark is used to give a soil body and to help drainage often as a substitute for peat

Just Naturally

Just Naturally is a soil conditioner. It is made from a mixture of farmyard manures and seaweed.

Just Naturally is regarded as one of the finest products of its kind, not only does it add nutrients to the soil, it helps to break down clay and heavier soils so they can be easily worked. Just naturally is the ideal product to work into the soil when mature plants have been removed and replaced by young plants, as it replenishes the goodness that the young plants will require to grow strongly.

Manure

Well rotted farmyard manure in a managable size bag. Good for adding essential humus and nutrients in all aspect of gardening.
