Bedding Plants at Battman and Sons are
grown with great pride. We are renowned for the quality of our Bedding Plants. All of our fantastic
range of bedding plants are grown on the nursery. Before being put on sale
all trays and individual pots of bedding plants are checked for quality
and consistency so that quality is assured. Whether you have just a few
patio containers or hanging basket to plant up or whether you have a good size garden to
fill with colour we are confident you will be able to find bedding plants to suit your every requirement!
For a magnificent display of vibrant colour throughout the Summer
and into the Autumn, summer bedding plants are planted out during May and June.
As well as planting the borders and flower beds in your garden, add a few containers and maybe one or two hanging baskets to bring the garden closer to your living
room.
Our range of summer bedding plants is outstanding,
together with all the traditional bedding plants, such as Antirrhinums and Geraniums,
we also offer one or two that are a little different such as "Tiger Striped Gazanias"
and "White Salvias"
Planted out in May and June all summer bedding will flower continuously
throughout the summer months and also into the autumn, depending on when
the first "harmful" frost appears!
Confusion often arises over the name "Winter
Bedding", mainly because it flowers in the Spring!!! (with
the noticeable exception of the winter flowering pansy)
For a fantastic show Autumn Bedding is best planted
during September and October after the Summer displays are fading and
as the days begin to shorten. In borders and flower beds spring flowering
bulbs can be planted beneath Autumn Bedding to give a spectacular show
of colour from mid February until the end of April.
A wide range of plants are also available to brighten up Hanging
Baskets and Containers through the winter that will produce a colourful
display when the warmer Spring weather arrives.
